Finally, after several years of virtual conferences (including one #TechDay), we were finally able to hold a physical event again here in Oslo, and around 120 people from Elhub, Statnett, and a multitude of our partners in the energy market came together for the Elhub/Statnett #TechDay 2022.
The venue was at the «Technology House» Rebel in the heart of Oslo, where you are immediately greeted by an iconic Delorean as you enter the building.
After having picked up name tags, the day was kicked off with a keynote speech by Elhub CEO Sigbjørn Høgne and Statnett’s Director for transformation and Digitalization, Beate Sander Krogstad. For the rest of the day we were treated to ten talks on a variety of different subjects from the results of research on how to keep power lines free from ice to how to decode the rosetta stone regexes.
Of course, as always at such events, there was good food, snacks and lots of chatting.
Elhub contributed to the event with three talks. First up was Kristoffer Lorentzen with a talk on the «Cloud Structure» at Elhub:
Later on, Trond Strømme held a short talk on «RegEx for people who’ve avoided them all their life»:
Then the day was closed off with a talk by Michael Akinde (co-written with Sergei Prodanov) on «Coding Pipelines at Elhub»:
